Who we are

The Zumwalt Foundation for the Arts, established in 2025 by Isaac Zumwalt, a dedicated Music Educator from Oklahoma, is committed to ensuring that the arts are accessible to everyone, regardless of background or circumstance. Rooted in the philosophy that artistic expression is a universal right, the foundation strives to empower young people through music education and foster a lifelong appreciation of the arts. By inspiring civic engagement and promoting inclusivity, the Zumwalt Foundation aims to cultivate creative communities where every individual has the opportunity to explore, create, and connect through the transformative power of music and the arts.

Mr. Zumwalt and his family have a long and proud history of supporting the arts in his native city of Tulsa. He was deeply inspired by the vibrant community around him at OU to make the arts more accessible to young people. Through the foundation his goals include subsidizing the costs of musical instruments for families in need, creating engaging after-school programs, and emphasizing the critical importance of cultivating patronage and appreciation for the arts from a young age.
